If you're traveling to a non-English-speaking country, like to shop in ethnic food markets or are someone who prefers to read or write in another language, I highly recommend downloading the Google Translate App.
I use it to translate my mom's texts (from Korean to English) when I'm too lazy to phonetically read the Korean (so, basically, 100% of the time). I've also had great success using it when I travel, shop and dine out.
The translations have improved dramatically since the app was first introduced. (I've seen some epically horrible-but-hilarious translations!) I also love their camera feature, where you point the camera at whatever you want to translate (for me, usually a menu) and the English is overlaid in real-time like the example photo of this can of black beans, translated from the English label to Spanish. Check out this fun tool if you haven't already!
