I always thought thread was thread – but it’s soooo not. Thread is like fabric and comes in many different compositions
and weights and obviously, loads of colors. The thread used to sew Everyday Sabbatical is a spun poly Tex 27. “Spun Poly” is what it’s made of and “Tex 27” is a measurement of thickness and weight, so it works best with the specific bamboo/cotton/spandex fabric. Who knew?!?!
Clothing factories prefer large spools, so they don’t have to replace them as often. Of course, that makes sense but the peacock thread only came in small spools, which is why I had to custom-order the peacock thread and have it shipped from Germany, which took ages due to Covid. Yep, welcome to starting a business.
