I wanted festive decorations but not over-the-top Christmas-y, so I used disco balls instead of ornaments for a playful touch. I got a boxful of disco balls for free when the local Jonathan Adler store closed – and the manager didn’t want to pack them up so … voila.
The disco balls were a massive hit with KIDS! It was so much fun to hear kids get super excited about the disco balls – pointing to them, screaming “disco balls” and dancing in its reflected light. I would’ve never guessed that kids would be so fascinated by the little sparkling round spin-y objects, but it was a delightful, unexpected reaction. We should all have something sparkly in our everyday.
