Thursday at 7:30 am, I’m throwing mannequins, bins of clothes, decorations, small furniture and electrical cords into the SUV. I’m freaking out because I feel so unprepared and disorganized for my FIRST market. I need to be ready to sell by 10 am. YIKES! 100% freak out moment.
I arrive to my steel shipping container – and it looks so empty (because it is). I mentally had a plan on how I wanted to set it up and decorate but wasn’t sure that any of it was going to work. I took a deep breath and slowly started building Everyday Sabbatical’s Pop-up from the floor up. After an hour, it started coming together. By 10am, I was ready-ish. Over the next three days, I tweaked things here and there to add more lighting.
I have a list of things for next time but, overall, super pleased with the vibe and also, that everything stayed up during the wind gusts.
Thanks to EC, RM, KM and MM for lending me their cars, decorations, tables, mannequins and everything in between and for those who stopped by to visit. It gave me the “warm and fuzzies” to see familiar, supportive faces. It takes a village and I’m very grateful to my village.
