I had zero expectations when I signed up for the Cherry Creek Holiday Market but thought, “why not?” Worst case scenario, it would be helpful market research. (For non-Denver folks, Cherry Creek is Lululemon-y.) This was the first year for this holiday market in this specific location. With Covid and wintry weather, no one knew how it would go.
The entire experience was incredibly validating – and exhausting. There were sales; positive feedback on the clothes, brand name, and fabric cards; and it felt fantastic to finally hear (and overhear) comments about all of it!
I’ll share more details in next week’s letter, but overall the experience confirmed that:
- There is a market for Everyday Sabbatical, and the ideal customer is exactly the woman I thought she was (amazing),
- The product is solid (the quality of design, fabric, and construction were immediately recognized and appreciated), and
- It was so great to see people out and about again, even with masks!
